This article discusses an open source app that allows for deep OBD analysis of vehicles similar to ISTA-D, INPA, or Tool32. The app uses ECU files for OBD communication, and supports only BMW and VAG vehicles at the moment. The app allows users to create their own configuration files with a configuration generator, or manually for complex tasks. The app requires 2.5 GB of free external storage and supports various OBD II adapters, including Standard FTDI-based USB, ELM327-based Bluetooth and WiFi, custom Bluetooth, and "Deep OBD" ENET WIFI adapter.
