Cisco Secure Client-AnyConnect

The Cisco Secure Client, previously known as AnyLink, is a reliable and easy-to-deploy encrypted network connectivity application that allows users to connect to their corporate network from Android 4.X+ devices. It provides persistent access to business-critical applications such as email and virtual desktop sessions. However, there are some known limitations, such as split DNS not being available on Android 7.x/8.x and features such as filter support and trusted network detection not being supported.

The Umbrella module for Cisco Secure Client provides DNS-layer protection for Android v6.0.1 and later. Licensing and infrastructure requirements are necessary for using this software, and it is only licensed for exclusive use by Cisco headend customers with active Plus, Apex or VPN Only licenses.

The Cisco Secure Client has a variety of features, such as automatically adapting VPN tunneling to the most efficient method based on network constraints and supporting certificate deployment using Cisco Secure Client integrated SCEP and the certificate import URI handler. It also allows network roaming capability and access to internal IPv4/IPv6 network resources.

Users can reach out for support by contacting their organization's support department, while system administrators can contact their designated support marker of contact. Feedback can be provided by sending log bundles through the "Menu > Diagnostics > Send Logs" option.
