The "VMware Horizon Client" for Android enables easy access to your VMware Horizon virtual desktops and hosted applications from your Android device, providing mobility and flexibility. However, it requires a VMware Horizon virtual desktop or hosted application to function, so contact your IT department for assistance. The app uses the Device Administrator permission.
Features of the app include an enhanced user experience with the VMware Blast Extreme protocol, hosted applications support, Unity Touch, and unmatched performance with the Blast Extreme and PCoIP display protocols. Security is also ensured with smart card authentication and the newly integrated RSA soft token.
Note that when installing the app, you will be asked to allow the app to read phone status and identity for the integrated RSA SDK and RSA soft token feature. Check the RSA FAQ for more information. The end-user license agreement (EULA) is available at VMware's website.
